Jocelyne Alloucherie, (born February 8, 1947) is a Canadian sculptor and academic. Born in Quebec City, Alloucherie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Université Laval in 1971 and a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1981 from Concordia University.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Jocelyne Alloucherie )〕 She has taught visual arts and art history at the Université Laval, the Université du Québec à Montréal, Concordia University and the University of Ottawa.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.canadacouncil.ca/news/releases/2000/wf127241960534531250.htm )〕 ==Honours== In 2000, she was awarded the Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts in recognition for being a "seminal artist of her generation".〔 In 2002, she was awarded the Quebec government's Prix Paul-Émile-Borduas.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Prix Paul-Émile-Borduas citation )〕 In 2008, she was made an Officer of the Order of Canada "for her contributions to the visual arts as an internationally renowned sculptor".〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.gg.ca/media/doc.asp?lang=e&DocID=5447 )〕 Her sculpture ''Porte de jour'' is the centrepiece of the remodeled Dalhousie Square in Old Montreal, designed by Robert Desjardins, which was honoured by the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects in 2006.
